US 41 from Midway Boulevard to Paulson Drive: Maintenance project: Motorists should expect intermittent outside northbound closures during nighttime/overnight hours from 8:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. weekdays, while crews perform geotechnical work.
US 41/Tamiami Trail from Payne Street to Rio Villa Drive: Construction project: Motorists should expect intermittent lane closures during daytime and nighttime/overnight hours while crews resurface the roadway, construct curb, gutter, sidewalk drainage, signage, and signalization improvements.
Motorists should expect intermittent southbound and northbound lane closures from Aqui Esta Drive to Payne Street during daytime hours from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and during nighttime/overnight hours from 8 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. at Aqui Esta Drive.
Motorists should use caution as crews work in the roadway. The expected project completion is late fall 2023.
COLLIER COUNTY
I-75 from the Toll Booth to Collier Boulevard: Construction project: Crews will resurface the roadway and construct guardrail.
Motorists should expect northbound and southbound lane closures during nighttime/overnight hours from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Motorists should use caution as crews work on the roadway. The expected project completion is late summer 2023.
I-75 from mile marker 76 to the mile marker 100/toll plaza: Construction project: Crews will widen and resurface the roadway as well as construct new guardrail and animal crossings. Motorists should expect intermittent southbound and northbound lane closures during daytime hours throughout the duration of the project. Motorists should use caution as crews work on the roadway. The expected project completion is spring 2024.
I-75 from the Broward County line to the east of the bridge over Wildlife Crossing #15: Construction project: Crews will resurface the roadway and construct new guardrail and animal crossings. Motorists should expect intermittent southbound and northbound lane closures during daytime hours throughout the duration of the project. Motorists should use caution as crews work on the roadway. The expected project completion is spring 2024.
US 41 at Oasis Visitor Center: Construction project: Crews will construct an eastbound left turn lane from US 41 at the Oasis Visitor Center. Additional improvements include lane widening, guardrail installation, resurfacing, and new signage and pavement markings at the intersection. Motorists should expect intermittent lane closures and shifts during daytime hours from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. throughout the duration of the project. Motorists should use caution as crews work on the roadway. The expected project completion is early 2024.
US 41/Tamiami Trail from Bonita Bay Boulevard to Lake Shore Drive: Maintenance permit project: Motorists should expect intermittent southbound lane closures during daytime hours from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. while crews replace utility poles near the roadway. Motorists should use caution while traveling in this area.
US 41/Ninth Street from Sixth Avenue North to Seventh Avenue North: Maintenance permit project: Motorists should expect intermittent northbound and southbound lane closures during nighttime/overnight hours from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. while crews perform maintenance to the roadway. Motorists should expect slow-moving traffic and possible delays.
US 41/Tamiami Trail from Davis Boulevard to Courthouse Shadows: Construction project: Improvements include adding mid-block crossings and pedestrian signals, milling and resurfacing, and making sidewalk repairs within the project limits. Motorists should expect lane closures during daytime and nighttime/overnight hours. Expected completion is late spring 2023.
US 41 from 10th Street North to 9th Street North: Maintenance permit project: Motorists should expect intermittent northbound and southbound lane closures during nighttime/overnight hours from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. while crews construct underground utilities. A temporary traffic signal will be installed during construction. Motorists should expect slow-moving traffic and possible delays.
US 41 from Tomato Road to CR 92 Maintenance permit project: Motorists should expect intermittent northbound and southbound lane closures during nighttime/overnight hours from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. while crews construct a temporary bypass road. Motorists should expect slow-moving traffic and possible delays.
US 41 at the Treviso Bay Entrance east of Johns Street: Maintenance permit project: Motorists should expect intermittent northbound lane closures during nighttime/overnight hours from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. while crews make turn lane modifications. Motorists should use caution as crews work on the roadway.
SR 84/Davis Boulevard from Ospreys Landing to West Crown Point Boulevard: Maintenance permit project: Motorists should expect intermittent westbound lane closures during nighttime/overnight hours from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. while crews replace underground utilities. Motorists should expect slow-moving traffic and possible delays.
Copeland Avenue from Chokoloskee Bridge to Broadway Avenue: Construction project: Crews will construct sidewalk on the east side of Copeland Avenue from Chokoloskee Bridge to Broadway Avenue. Crews will install temporary signalization within the project. Motorists should expect intermittent lane closures during daytime hours from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. with possible flagging operations throughout the duration of the project. Motorists should use caution as crews work near the roadway. The expected project completion is early 2024.
LEE COUNTY
Pine Island Road Causeway and Bridge Permanent Repairs: Construction project: As part of the Emergency Restoration of the Pine Island Road Causeway and Bridge, motorists can expect temporary, intermittent lane closures with flagging operations along CR 78 Pine Island Road from west of Little Pine Island Bridge (Bridge No. 120111) to West of Shoreview Drive.
A lane shift is in place for an estimated two months. East bound traffic will shift to the west bound lane, and the west bound traffic will shift to the newly paved, temporary lane.
Beginning in June, crews are expected to begin driving sheet pile in the south side of the roadway.
Pedestrians and bicyclists are not permitted within the construction zone.
Expect noise from construction equipment in the area.
Please use caution and watch for workers and construction vehicles entering and exiting the roadway.
Please be patient and plan for additional travel time as it may be slower than usual in the area.

Sanibel Causeway Emergency Restoration: As a part of the Emergency Restoration of the Sanibel Causeway, crews continue work on McGregor Boulevard and the Sanibel Causeway from Port Comfort Road to Sanibel Island. The causeway islands surrounding the temporary roadway are an active work zone and are currently closed for public access.
Beginning Monday, May 15, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., motorists should expect lane shifts through the toll plaza for building and lane repairs. This work is expected to continue for approximately one month, excluding holidays.
Motorists should expect periodic daytime delays for crews to remove trash from the roadway.
Crews continue driving sheet pile around the causeway islands and near the toll booth area.
Crews continue earthwork on the causeway islands.
Bicyclists are encouraged to utilize another mode of transportation to travel the causeway.
Pedestrians are not permitted on the Sanibel Causeway.
Many oversized vehicles are crossing the causeway to assist with recovery efforts on the island. Please be patient as travel may be slower than usual. MOTORISTS ARE REMINDED TO OBEY THE POSTED SPEED LIMIT OF 20 MPH. Please use caution and watch for workers and construction vehicles entering and leaving the roadway.
I-75 at Daniels Parkway (mile marker 131): Maintenance contract project: Motorists should expect intermittent northbound and southbound lane closures during nighttime/overnight hours from 8:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. while crews inspect the roadway. Motorists should expect possible delays and use caution while crews work in the roadway.
I-75 Intersection Lighting at various locations: Construction project: Crews are improving the lighting system at various intersections along I-75 at the following locations: I-75 at Terminal Access Road, Daniels Parkway, Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, Luckett Road, and Bayshore Road. Motorists should expect intermittent lane closures during daytime hours from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. throughout the duration of the project. Motorists should use caution as crews work near the roadway. The expected project completion is early 2024.
I-75 at Colonial Boulevard (mile marker 136): Construction project: Crews begin construction on the I-75 at Colonial Boulevard Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI) Project. Other improvements along Colonial Boulevard include a Continuous Flow Intersection (CFI) at the intersection of Six Mile Cypress Parkway/Ortiz Avenue and a Superstreet intersection at the Colonial Boulevard/Forum Boulevard intersection. I-75 will also be widened to provide an auxiliary lane in each direction from Colonial Boulevard to SR 82/Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. The off-ramps at Colonial Boulevard DDI and the northbound offramp at SR 82 will have emergency stopping sites.
Motorists should expect the southbound right turn lane on Forum Boulevard to Home Depot closed during nighttime/overnight hours from Tuesday, May 9 through Thursday, May 11.
Motorists should expect the northbound right turn lane on Forum Boulevard to Dynasty Drive closed during daytime and nighttime/overnight hours on Monday, May 15 through Wednesday, May 17.
Motorists should expect intermittent northbound and southbound lane closures during nighttime/overnight hours on Ortiz Boulevard from Colonial Boulevard to north of Colonial Center Drive.
Motorists should expect intermittent lane closures on I-75 and the on and off ramps at SR 884/Colonial Boulevard during nighttime/overnight hours from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. through the duration of construction

US 41/Cleveland Avenue Intersection Lighting at various locations: Construction project: Crews are improving the lighting system at various intersections along US 41 at the following locations: US 41 at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and First Street. Motorists should expect intermittent lane closures during daytime hours from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. throughout the duration of the project. Motorists should use caution as crews work near the roadway. The expected project completion is early 2024.
US 41 from south of Hickory Drive to Emerson Square Boulevard: Construction project: Crews are resurfacing the roadway and reconstructing medians at Hickory Drive, San Carlos Boulevard, Shadow Creek Boulevard, and Harborage Drive.
Motorists should expect intermittent lane closures through the duration of the project.
Crews will be installing underground utilities at San Carlos Boulevard, Sanibel Boulevard, and Constitution Boulevard.
Pedestrians should expect sidewalk detours as crews construct improvements to sidewalk and signals.
The resurfacing will be done overnight/nighttime between 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should use caution as crews work near the roadway. The expected project completion is early 2024
US 41/Tamiami Trail at Crystal Drive: Maintenance project: As part of the emergency restoration due to Hurricane Ian, crews will be repairing signals at the intersection. Motorists should expect intermittent lane closures during daytime hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should expect slow-moving traffic and possible delays.
US 41 from Tara Boulevard to French Creek Lane: Construction project: Crews are constructing a sidewalk on the west side of US 41 from Tara Boulevard to French Creek Lane. Motorists should expect intermittent lane closures throughout the duration of the project. Motorists should use caution as crews work near the roadway.
US 41/Cleveland Avenue from Winkler Avenue to SR 82/Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Construction project: Crews will be installing and relocating utilities and constructing medians on US 41/Cleveland Avenue from Winkler Avenue to SR 82.
Expect Edison Avenue closed on the east side of US 41 / Cleveland Avenue.
Expect Crawford Street closed on the east side of US 41 / Cleveland Avenue.
Motorists should expect side road closures from Winkler Avenue to Victoria Avenue throughout the duration of the project.
Motorists should expect intermittent northbound and southbound lane closures and detours on US 41/Cleveland Avenue during daytime and nighttime/overnight hours Monday through Friday throughout the duration of the project.
Additional work includes installing drainage structures, pedestrian signals, upgrading signals and lighting, and resurfacing existing highway. The project will be constructed in three segments. Each segment will have most of the construction completed prior to moving to the next segment. Crews will work on the west side of the road initially and when that work is completed, they will shift to the east side of Cleveland Avenue/US 41. The expected project completion is late 2023.
US 41 from Bonita Beach Road to Pondella Road: Construction project: Crews will be improving the lighting systems at the following intersections along US 41: Bonita Beach Road, Center of Bonita Springs Plaza/Boston Road, West Terry Street, South Bay Drive, Bernwood Parkway, Timberwilde Drive, Pelican Landing Parkway, Sanibel Boulevard, Constitution Boulevard, Bell Tower Road, Big Pine Way, Crystal Drive, Palm Drive, Beacon Manor Drive, South Airport Road, Boy Scout Drive, Sam’s Plaza, North Airport Road, North Key Drive, Hancock Bridge Parkway, and Pondella Road. Motorists should use caution as crews work alongside the roadway. Estimated project completion is fall 2023.
SR 876/Daniels Parkway from Danport Boulevard to Goldenwood Drive: Maintenance contract project: Motorists should expect intermittent eastbound and westbound lane closures during nighttime/overnight hours from 8:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. while crews inspect the roadway. SR 865/Six Mile Cypress Parkway from SR 41/Tamiami Trail to Metro Parkway: Motorists should expect intermittent lane closures from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. while crews perform maintenance to roadway shoulders and medians. Motorists should use caution as crews work near the roadway.
